The Victorian Electoral Commission estimates 106,000 eligible voters for the Melbourne City Council (MCC) election in 2008.
For established individuals, many with long-standing political membership and personal fortunes, or political party endorsed candidates, the campaign will be fully funded.
A fully funded campaign for the MCC is very expensive and favours the candidate with the deepest pockets. For example, just one direct mail to every voter on the electoral roll costs around $76,000, including postage, printing, envelopes and mail handling costs.
If the C Melbourne Grow team is to win the race and elect a truly independent Lord Mayor, Catherine Ng, we will need the help of generous people like you. If you want a Lord Mayor who has no hidden political agenda, is not captured by any political cause and has only the best interests of Melbourne at heart, then we want your support.
Catherine Ng said, “I will work in your interests and represent Melbourne without fear nor favour, including with the State Government.”
Can you make a donation, small or large? Can you contribute to Catherine’s campaign in any way, for example volunteering to help distribute C Melbourne Grow campaign material in your building or local area, to businesses or residents or perhaps helping to letterbox the city’s suburbs.

You can donate directly to our campaign account, send us a cheque, or use a secure online donation form. All donations will be held under a transparent trust account and to be used for C Melbourne Grow campaign. Any funds left over from the campaign will be donated to registered Charities.
